of the innovative IPU-16

Combining the latest semiconductor technology with tried and tested motorsport components, the IPU-16 represents a new dimension in automotive power distribution and load management.
Each of the unit's sixteen inputs can be connected to switches, relay contacts, or driven by logic-level electronic signals. Since each input is high impedance, the input wiring loom can be assembled using thin, lightweight wires. The sixteen outputs are intended to drive typical 12V automotive loads such as lights, fans, and electronic devices.
If necessary, two or more outputs may be connected in parallel to boost the available load power. With a total current capacity of 80A, the unit can easily satisfy a large part of a vehicle's typical power requirements.
The IPU-16 is configured using the Windows®-based utility program installed on an external computer. The program also provides diagnostic functions that allow you to monitor various operating parameters in real time, such as input/output status and load current.
You can set up any number of different configurations at any time and at any location - simply install the supplied program on your computer, set up one or more configurations and save them to your hard drive. Then, connect the computer to the IPU-16 using the serial comms cable, download the configuration file, and the unit is ready to use. The comms link may be removed after downloading, or may be left connected to carry out diagnostics.
Remember, the IPU-16 can be reconfigured as often as you wish, making it easy to tweak an existing configuration, or to start afresh with a completely different set-up.
